Consumerism

By April

To indulge in a bout of shameless greed, here are 18 things I wouldn’t mind owning if my wealth were infinite. This is by no means a complete list (anything but). I’m not requesting the gifting of any of these things either– but of course feel free to bookmark this if you’ve got a couple hundred dollars burning a hole in your pocket…

  • Threadless shirts. All of them. I could actually have made this entire list nothing but shirts of various sorts, but I think Threadless is representative of them all.

  • A better camera. This happens to be a Fujifilm Finepix s6000fd, but I’m not picky as long as it’s better than what I’ve got.

  • Working Class Heroes’ Unfold laptop bag. Leave it large or fold it in half to make a messenger bag.
    • … And a Macbook to put in it. No, not a Macbook Air; I’d be worried about snapping the thing in half.

    • Orbit chair. The chair I’m sitting in feels more uncomfortable the more I look at this chair.

    • O2 Cocoon. What can I say? It’s just beautiful. And UK only, I think.

    • Float bed. What is the point of a bed that hangs from four skimpy little threads? I don’t know. And I don’t care.

    • Milk table. Spaces for computer cables, files, pen containers, and even a fish tank if you like.

    • Scrunch gloves. This particular style is no longer at Mod Cloth and I can’t find a comparable pair anywhere else, which is totally frustrating. And, er, also irrelevant, because it’s not like I’m buying any of this anytime soon anyway. (That was a lot of any’s.)

    • Verdier Westfalia. To fulfill all my hopelessly impractical dreams of roadtripping around the country someday. It’s solar powered! And awesome!

    • Scroll pen. The sheer convenience is mind-boggling. Why don’t all pens have a scroll of paper in their detachable barrels?

    • Stuff from Title Nine. Most of it is activewear, and even though I’m as far from “active” as you can get without being inanimate or dead, it still looks fantastic. And fantastically expensive.
