Exams ‘07, day two

Today was kind of not so very cool.

What was cool (both literally and figuratively) was testing in York Lecture Hall. It was nice being in a room where the only people present were Combined students and teachers, all people you know very well, so you could crack jokes about ringing cell phones and things without worrying about proctors storming over and sternly berating you for having a sense of humor. It was a very relaxed environment.

What wasn’t cool was the test itself, which covered a lot of material we had never really gone over in class and therefore could not have been expected to study. Exempli gratia: question(s?) on Regeneration, which only a few people read, myself not included. Granted we could skip some questions, but not as many as I would’ve liked.

The essay was relatively straightforward. At least I wrote about the correct number of people, unlike for the Global Regents. Yeah. That was the other uncool thing: discovering that I can’t actually read directions.

The other other uncool thing was learning upon my arrival at home that Latin 2 and AP Physics C are not going to be offered next year. I know, I know– I’ve never exactly expressed undying devotion to Latin class, and I can always take AP Physics B. But for some irrational reason I am extremely unhappy about this.

On the plus side, I’m halfway through my exams. Three down, three to go.
